Synopsis

Chronicling the lives of teenagers who take to the stage, rather than to the streets, to create a positive focus in their lives. Despite the improverished and often destructive influences in their lives. Despite the improverished and often destructive influences in their communities, the kids discover new talents and dignity through "Colors United," a critically acclaimed performing arts group for inner city youth. On this "safe stage," Latino and African-American students study Shakespeare while creating second families who provide support and encouragement through the arts.
