Jemaine Clement, one half of the singing (and occasionally rapping) comedy duo Flight of the Conchords, is close to being cast as a villain in Men in Black 3.
Clement, who along with Bret McKenzie declined a third season of HBO’s Flight of the Conchords, will play Boris, a baddie The Hollywood Reporter describes only as “charming and creepy at the same time.”
Clement joins MiB regulars Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones as well as franchise newcomer Josh Brolin, who will play Jones’ character when the movie is set in 1969.

The threequel will hit theaters in summer 2012.
