Bank officer Irene goes about her daily existence with methodical detail, living a settled but unfulfilled life. Everything changes when she is attacked one night by a homeless woman. Irene wakes up two days later with selective amnesia, unable to recall what happened. When the homeless women turns up dead, Irene knows that she may have committed murder. Feeling disconnected from her life, she leaves her home and family to move in with her new friend Rosa.
