The story of two brothers, Ray and Tom McCormack. Ray, a cab- driver, views the world to be as lost as the passengers he picks up. Contact with his brother and father are non-existent, and except for a friendship with May, the elderly owner of the hotel where he lives, he is content just being left alone. Ray's only passion is his love of art. Ray's younger brother Tom is a successful doctor, husband and father. Living a comfortable life, Tom enjoys the "American Dream". Tom's world takes a turn when he finds out that his father is dying of cancer. In an effort to bring the family together, before his father's impending death, Tom decides to reach out to Ray, who was alawys the "black sheep" as far as their father was concerned. In a chance meeting during a cab-ride, Ray is introduced to Rev. John Santos, a family counselor. Ray's only hope to heal the wounds of his past and fears of a lonely future are to confront his demons.
