Déjà Vu for Kevin Smith

Director Kevin Smith is apparently experiencing a case of déjà vu in his next project.

The “Chasing Amy” and “Clerks” helmer has released the cast list for his next film, his follow-up to the controversial “Dogma,” and nearly all the stars from “Dogma” are on the list, with some in multiple roles.

According to Smith’s Web site, viewaskew.com, Ben Affleck will return as “Chasing Amy’s” Holden McNeil as well as portray two new roles, Jason Lee will reprise his characters from “Mallrats” and “Chasing Amy,” and Matt Damon will be playing three parts in the upcoming film.

Also returning from “Dogma’s” cast list are Chris Rock and singer Alanis Morissette.

Jay and Silent Bob and the original “Clerks,” Randall and Dante, are also slated to appear in the film.

While the flick’s plot remains vague, Smith has said in his online column “Psycomic” that the comedy will have the working title “View Askew 5.”
