Diana Rigg’s Daughter to Be a Bond Girl

British actress Dame Diana Rigg‘s daughter Rachael Stirling is set to follow in her mother’s footsteps and become a Bond girl.

Stirling, who leapt to fame in the controversial BBC lesbian drama Tipping the Velvet, is in talks with producers to star opposite new 007 Daniel Craig in the forthcoming Casino Royale.

Rigg played Teresa Di Vincenzo opposite George Lazenby in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service in 1969.

An insider at Eon Productions tells British newspaper The Sun, “Rachael’s dark, sultry looks and pedigree as an actress make her a favorite with producers.

“Diana is a legendary Bond girl and bosses think Rachael has the same sexy appeal.”
