DiCaprio to Play ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ For Ridley Scott?

Leonardo DiCaprioDeadline reports that Ridley Scott is in early discussions to direct Leonardo DiCaprio in The Wolf of Wall Street, the film that DiCaprio once expected to make with Martin Scorsese.

The film of Jordan Belfort’s memoir of 1990s stockbroker decadence, would see Scorsese join DiCaprio and his Appian Way as producer while it’s likely that Scott Free would board the project in a producing capacity as well.

The Wolf of Wall Street is still in the process of being figured out for budget and distribution, says Deadline, adding that Scott loves the script by Terry Winter.

However, scheduling is an issue for all involved as it is unclear whether Scott can squeeze in the film before his 3D Alien prequel while DiCaprio is next expected to play FBI director J. Edgar Hoover in the Clint Eastwood-directed biopic Hoover.
