Disney To Turn Magic Kingdom Into A Movie

Disney

So what do you do when you turn one of your rides into a three part (soon to be four!), multi-billion dollar epic franchise? You go big or you go home! Hoorah! Which is why Disney is currently developing a movie based around one of it’s theme parks.

No word yet on which park will play host to the movie, but here’s hoping for an extremely anime-heavy version set in Tokyo Disney. Or a black and white silent feature set in Disneyland Paris. But something tells me it’ll be set in Disneyland to cut costs in travel.

Anyway, no word on the official story line but it’s basically another Night at the Museum type thing. People get caught in the park and the characters come to life. Wacky adventures ensue. Woo! Hey, it worked for Who Framed Roger Rabbit? But something tells me this won’t be a noir inspired film, though that would be awesome.

This has potential to be a huge hit though, if only for the fact that the filmmakers will have access to the entire vault of Disney characters to play around with. So it looks like that cross over between Princess Jasmine and Goofy can finally happen in glorious CGI. And in 3D, no doubt.

For those of you more mathematically inclined, I present the following equation to sum up this news article:

(Roger Rabbit+Night at the Museum) x Disney = sure fire hit in three to four years!
