BAM! The appetizingly all-star cast of Chef just kicked it up a notch.
Dustin Hoffman has now joined the flavorful film, a comedy written and directed by its star, Jon Favreau. The sizzling ensemble already includes Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sofia Vergara, John Leguizamo, and Bobby Cannavale. The plot follows Favreau as a master chef who starts his own food truck when he loses his job, rediscovering his true culinary talent and reuniting with his estranged family along the way. Filming is set to being in July with an expected release date on May 9, 2014.
Favreau spilled the beans about the two-time Oscar winner by tweeting a Vine video labeled “new cast members”:
