Early Tuesday Estimates: ‘Sex and the City’ with a Strong $5.45M

TUESDAY 11:00 p.m. (Pacific): Sex and the City (Warner Bros) continues to attract solid weekday business with an exceedingly strong $5.45M on Tuesday. I am told that 50+ women, adverse to opening weekend crowds, have been primary ticket buyers Monday and today as the film adaptation of the HBO series has pushed past $68M domestic. Indiana Jones & The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (Paramount) received an 8 percent boost from Monday’s take for $3.81M and a new cume just shy of $223M. The Strangers (Rogue) added $1.98M or so on Tuesday, pushing past $25M since opening on Friday.
