Director Edgar Wright is 43. Normally that wouldn’t matter, but he had the inspiration for his latest movie Baby Driver since he was 21, well over half his life ago. He’s done some of my favorite films including Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, but the idea for Baby Driver has been stuck in his head, and now he had a chance to do it.
In the above interview, Edgar Wright discusses how Jon Spencer Blues Explosion was the inspiration that started the entire movie, Eiza Gonzalez and Lily James explain how this movie was his baby, and Ansel Elgort, Jon Hamm, Jamie Foxx talk about the music in the film, how they could tell there was something special when shooting this film, and Ansel learns something about being a star of a film, while Jon and Jamie make fun of him for it.
Baby Driver is out June 28, 2017.
