So Ethan Hawke has signed on to make what is in essence a “cameo” in the upcoming remake of Total Recall with Colin Farrell replacing Ahhhhhhnold and Bryan Cranston as the bad guy. Also Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel are in talks for the female leads (fingers crossed that they have to duke it out with each other to win the role, and by duke it out, I mean make out). As for the role Hawke will play, it’s a secret, so don’t even bother asking because I can’t tell you even if I did know what it was. Which I don’t.
Also, if you’re a fan of the Philip K. Dick novellette the film was based on and thought the original movie spent a bit too much time on Mars with mutants, you’re in luck. The remake is skewing closer to the source material which makes me question why they are still calling it a remake. Why don’t you call it a redo? Like we’re adapting the book and forgetting the original movie ever existed, REDO! I wish there was an actual available for someone to come up with all these Hollywood buzz words. I’d be awesome at it.
