Christopher Robin grew up with his friends Winnie the Pooh and the rest of the animals at the hundred acre woods, but then Christopher did something.
He grew up.
People grow up, they forget about their stuffed animals, and they lose their sense of happiness. That’s what happened to Christopher Robin (Ewan McGregor) as he is told to forget about his weekend trip with his wife and daughter and figure out who to lay off. Left behind and saddened by his task, he takes a trip to the park to find himself. There he finds something better, an old friend in Winnie the Pooh.
Now, people are ragging on the old stuffed animal of Pooh Bear, but I disagree. When I first heard that voice of Jim Cummings and saw that bear I was transported to childhood. A total CGI or cartoon bear wouldn’t have had that same effect. Not much is known about the rest of the movie, only the description that Pooh helps Christopher rediscover the joys of life, and that’s all I really need to know.
‘Christopher Robin’ releases August 3, 2018.
