Ewan Mcgregor is convinced his and Chris Messina‘s Birds of Prey character are in a same-sex relationship.
The actors play crime lord Roman Sionis, also known as Black Mask, and serial killer Victor Zsasz in the DC Comics movie and, during an interview with Variety, Ewan confessed the pair are are “more than likely” gay.
“It’s very complicated,” he said. “Their relationship is very much based… there’s a want and a need in there for sure.”
Chris added, “There’s like a real love of anarchy”
“More than likely, yes,” Ewan said.
The Suicide Squad spin-off which will focus on a group of female superheroes and villains, with Margot Robbie reprising her role as Harley Quinn. Mary Elizabeth Winstead will also star as Huntress, alongside Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary, and Rosie Perez, who has been cast as Renee Montoya/The Question.
Birds of Prey will open in theatres on February 7, 2020.
