So his boss assigns him the less stressful, but tedious, job of monitoring an elderly woman who is the mother of an elusive bandit, in the hope that her son will come to see her. Thomas is assigned a partner, Jean-François, an officer whose career in media relations has been ruined by a crippling fear of public speaking.
