First Aid Kit scrap summer tour

Swedish folk stars First Aid Kit have pulled the plug on their summer (19) tour, citing an unexpected health issue.
Sisters Klara and Johanna Soderberg had been due to perform shows across Europe and the U.S. in the coming weeks, but on Saturday (18May19), they announced all upcoming gigs had been scrapped to allow them time to deal with a personal issue.
In a handwritten note posted on Twitter, the It’s A Shame hitmakers wrote, “Beloved listeners and followers, we’re devastated to have to cancel the planned summer dates this year.
“We were super excited to play, but because of unforeseen medical circumstances we simply cannot do the shows.”
The singers didn’t reveal who was suffering with the health crisis, or what had ailed them, but concluded the note by insisting “all will be okay,” adding, “We look forward to seeing you soon again.”
Among the scrapped dates are First Aid Kit’s gigs at London’s All Points East festival, the Forbidden Fruit event in Dublin, Ireland, Denmark’s Northside Festival, Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and the Ottawa Bluesfest in Canada.
