Freeway and Danny Glover joining police brutality protest

Rapper FREEWAY joined actors DANNY GLOVER and JUSSIE SMOLLETT to march for criminal justice reform in the U.S. in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday (21Apr15).
The hip-hop star explains he felt he had to use his celebrity status to bring attention to the issue of police brutality following the deaths of unarmed African-Americans Michael Brown, Eric Garner and Tamir Rice in three separate police arrest incidents.
He says, “Police brutality isn’t new. All across this country, the hood (community) has been at odds with the police for as long as there have been hoods.
“But in 2015, the issue has become an epidemic, and I feel it’s only right that I use my voice and influence to help wake up the community and the leadership. Black lives matter. All lives matter.”
The march, which began as a Justice League NYC rally in New York last week (13Apr15) will end on Tuesday in the nation’s capital.
