From Childhood | 2009
Basilio is a manipulative robber, abusive to his wife, Sofia, and three children, and a traitor to his gang of fellow criminals. On the lam, he and his family are currently living in an old warehouse in the poor Iztapalapa neighborhood of Mexico City. His curly-haired preadolescent son, Francisco, is a chip off the old block. He knifes a bully at school. Every so often, a ghost of a teen criminal who was killed in a police shootout appears to watch over the boy. The teen ghost even protects him from a police bullet when his father Basilio uses him as a human shield during a robbery. Nothing and no one are as they seem.
