Furious 7 becomes third highest-grossing movie of all time

Blockbuster FURIOUS 7 has passed THE AVENGERS to become the third highest-grossing movie of all time at the global box office.
The high-octane action film has raked in over $1.5 billion worldwide, nudging ahead of the 2012 Marvel blockbuster.
The only films to have grossed more are James Cameron’s Avatar ($2.79 billion) and Titanic ($2.19 billion).
Vin Diesel and his castmates are now preparing for an eighth instalment of the film, after announcing plans to continue the franchise in April (15).
Furious 7 became the first film to gross $1 billion worldwide in just 17 days when it was released earlier this year (15). That record has since been broken by Jurassic World, which took just 13 days to reach the $1 billion milestone earlier this month (Jun15).
