Michael Myers is arguably the best horror villains of all time.
Sure, you have Freddy, Jason, Pennywise and more, but Michael is on a next level. The first film came out in 1978 and John Carpenter’s masterpiece has frightened anyone who’s watched it since. Michael (Nick Castle) killed his sister and ended up in a mental institution. He escaped and attacked Laurie (Jamie Lee Curtis) and her friends as they babysat. There was a sequel in ‘Haloween II’ that brought important factors to the storyline, like how Laurie is actually Myers’s sister. Many things have changed with the many different versions (A total of seven sequels!), but those were classics.
The 2018 version of ‘Halloween’ is a direct sequel to the 1978 film. Forty years after the events took place, Michael Myers has once again escaped from the mental institution after the bus carrying him crashed. Myers returns to the sleepy town of Haddonfield, Illinois with the intent to kill. This time things are different, and Laurie knows she’s the one that has to take down Michaels.
All in all, the trailer looks great, and I for one am ready for this thrill ride.
‘Halloween’ releases October 19, 2018.
