Gina Rodriguez is known for her role as Jane the virgin, but in her new movie ‘Miss Bala’ she’s Gloria the badass.
In the film, Gloria has gone back to Mexico to visit with her friend Suzu (Christina Rodlo). Suzu is abducted so she has to work with the cartel and Lino (Ismael Cruz Cordova) to do a crime to get to her friend. She’s arrested and has to work with the government and an agent (Anthony Mackie) to be a mole. Gloria must learn the ways of the gang to get her friend back.
A role like this calls for a lot of action, and that’s something that Gina Rodriguez was more than ready for. In the above interview fellow costars Anthony Mackie, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Aislinn Derbez, and Cristina Rodlo all tell us what it was like as well as how much they loved working with Gina while Miss Bala tells us what needed to go into prepping for the role as well as why she was so honored in taking this role.
