‘Kingsman: The Secret Service’ was a bonified hit. The film grossed 128 Million dollars and people wanted a sequel. There were a few problems, like how do you meet expectations, where do you go from there, and what do you do when the biggest actor in it (Colin Firth) was presumed dead?
Luckily those last two questions can be answered quickly. People loved the first including the actors, so now that you have a name to what your movie is more people want to be attached to the project. Actors like Channing Tatum, Jeff Bridges, Julianne Moore, and even Sir Elton John wanted to take part in the film. Another question was what do you do when the face of the franchise is dead? Well he wasn’t actually dead, and Firth even appeared in the trailer (although it would have been a huge reveal.)
In the above interview, go behind the scenes and hear from Channing Tatum and Jeff Bridges about the honor it was to be a part of the franchise, Julianne Moore explains how the villains are evil but might be right (if they weren’t so crazy), Colin Firth tells us how he felt he had to come back to the series somehow, Mark Strong and Taron Egerton discuss where they find their characters in the beginning as well as the taxi cab sequence, and Director Matthew Vaughn talks about water cooler moments as well as how often this film has them.
‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’ is out in theaters today, September 22, 2017.
