High school is tough.
Nadine (Hailee Steinfeld) is an outsider who hates all the “cool kids” but at least she still has her best friend Krista (Haley Lu Richardson) by her side. The worst is her brother Darian (Blake Jenner), the king of everything she hates, starts to date her bff. Now she has to figure out life, all while being on ‘The Edge of Seventeen’.
The film debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival and got great reviews. Currently, it’s the highest rated film in theaters and is certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes at 94%, so what actually makes it so good? In the above interview from the premiere, Haley Lu Richardson tells us that literally everyone can relate to being a teen at some point in their lives, Blake Jenner says how comfortable he felt going into filming and Hailee Steinfeld talks about how she wanted to make sure she did this story justice for people who can relate.
The Edge of Seventeen is in theaters now.
