Harrison Ford Signs On for ‘Crowley’

Harrison Ford will next turn his attention to drama Crowley, from CBS Films. Based on the true story of John and Aileen Crowley, the film will also be executive produced by Ford.

Variety reports that What Happens in Vegas director Tom Vaughan is in negotiations to direct.

The project will see Ford play a maverick scientist who is enlisted by the father of two children with a rare genetic disorder. Rather than give up hope that nothing could help his kids, John Crowley found a researcher with a potential cure.

Robert Nelson Jacobs, whose credits include Chocolat, wrote the screenplay, which was itself inspired by a Wall Street Journal article and subsequent book, The Cure, by Geeta Anand.
