Fans love Star Wars, even if it’s not part of the original 9 film saga.
Everything from comics to tv shows, fans can’t get enough. So when Disney bought Star Wars, it wasn’t just to complete George Lucas saga. Disney could bring fans more Star Wars then they could imagine.
That begins with the “Star Wars Stories” films, and the first is ‘Rogue One”. In Star Wars: A New Hope the rebels got the plans for the Death Star, but we don’t really know how they got these plans or figured out the battle stations weakness. ‘Rogue One’ is that story.
tFor a Star Wars film premiere you kind of have to go big. That includes shutting down streets in Los Angeles for days (like traffic’s not bad enough already), bringing in an X-Wing fighter (that happens to be the one used in the film), and having the premiere at the Pantages Theatre. In the above interview from the premiere, Director Gareth Edwards says sorry to the angry people for shutting down the streets, Walt Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger says why the company decided to do the “Star Wars Stories” films, and stars of ‘Rogue One’ Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Mads Mikkelsen, and Alan Tudyk share how excited they are to actually be in a Star Wars film.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is in theaters this Friday, December 16, 2016.
