Director Tim Burton’s distinctive visual style is reflected in virtually every detail of Alice in Wonderland, right down to the hairs above his characters’ eyes. Burton’s big-budget update of Lewis Carroll’s classic children’s novels features a wide assortment of offbeat eyebrow styles, from the bushy handlebars of Johnny Depp’s Mad Hatter to the thinly-drawn parenthetical lines of Helena Bonham Carter’s Red Queen.
