Hotel Lux | 2011
In 1938, when his home country Germany is already firmly under the spell of Adolf Hitler, German comedian Hans Zeisig still isn't lacking the chutzpa for doing his shows. When the situation becomes hairy for him and he runs the risk of being arrested, he decides to leave the country. His destination is Hotel Lux in Moscow; a hotel that is known for being a safe haven for people like him. Unfortunately the peace he hoped for does not come to pass: due to his forged passport he is taken for Adolf Hitler's astrological adviser. This being brought to the attention of Joseph Stalin triggers a chain reaction which forces Hans Zeisig to use all his skills if he wants to survive.
