James Bond is already a larger-than-life character, but the latest installment Skyfall is not only a must-see, it’s history-making.

For the first time in 50 years, the legendary spy (played by Daniel Craig) is appearing in full IMAX glory.

I recently had the opportunity to sit down with Greg Foster, the Chairman & President of IMAX Entertainment, to talk about his personal connection with the film, the “unique technology” introduced in Skyfall and what it took to bring the iconic character to the giant screen.

Foster’s enthusiasm and love for the franchise is evident as he talks about his long-standing relationship with 007 producer Barbara Broccoli and why “Bond is near and dear to his heart.” This isn’t just any other movie, he explains. In fact, as a piece of film history, Skyfall will not only play in IMAX locations, it’ll even play in its museum locations.

Watch the full interview, filmed at the IMAX headquarters in Santa Monica, Calif. below.
