Immortal Technique beats robbery charge

Rapper Immortal Technique has been cleared of a robbery charge relating to an arrest in California in March (15).
The hip-hop star, real name Felipe Andres Coronel, was taken into custody by police in Santa Ana after two street vendors alleged they had been beaten up by Immortal Technique’s entourage outside the Observatory OC venue, where he had been due to perform with Talib Kweli.
The men claimed the violent incident occurred amid a dispute over profits from bootleg Immortal Technique T-shirts they had been selling ahead of the show, while they also accused their attackers of forcibly taking their merchandise, cell phones and cash.
The rapper and his associate Steven Alexander McDaniel were both arrested and booked on suspicion of robbery and attempting to prevent or dissuade a witness from reporting a crime.
The suspects denied the allegations, and according to AllHipHop.com, the charges have since been dropped due to a lack of evidence.
