‘Instant Karma’ Found By Sony Animation

The FlyGotta love children’s entertainment with a high concept and a central plot steeped in Eastern beliefs. Sony Animation has picked up Instant Karma, which basically takes My Name is Earl and turns it into a kiddie flick. It follows an inappropriate safe-cracker who survives a near death experience but finds himself reincarnated as a fly (though probably not like the picture on the left). The some karma kicks in and after every good deed he moves up the food chain to become “better” animals until he can return to his rightful body and get the girl.

The film will be a mixture of CGI and live action; presumably the animals will be digitally rendered because if it’s the other way around , well, that would just be silly. Also, who’s to say which animals are “better?” He becomes a frog then a raccoon? That’s just silly. A frog can create some of our planet’s most powerful poisons on it’s skin. A raccoon scavenges through the trash. Just saying.
