Jason Statham to reunite with Guy Ritchie for revenge thriller

Jason Statham is set to reunite with director Guy Ritchie for an upcoming remake of French revenge thriller Le Convoyeur.

The actor, who worked with the filmmaker on their breakout films Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch, will reteam with Ritchie for the as-yet-untitled-project, inspired by the 2004 release.

The story centers on a mysterious character working at a cash truck company, who is responsible for moving hundreds of millions of dollars.

“I’m looking forward to bringing this story to life and working with Jason, while he still has the use of his knees,” Ritchie joked in a press release.

The production will begin following the release of Ritchie’s forthcoming crime comedy The Gentlemen, which stars Matthew McConaughey.
