Jesse Owens Inspirational Triumph In ‘Race’ Interview

In the 1936 Berlin Olympics Jesse Owens and broke 5 world records and tied a 6th in the span of 45 minutes. Unfortunately, Jesse also had to overcome many racial barricades to even get himself there.

The film ‘Race’ focuses itself on Jesse Owens’s college years until just after the Olympics. Owens (Stephan James) attended Ohio state where he met Coach Larry Snyder (Jason Sudeikis) who didn’t see Jesse for the color of his skin but for the athlete that he was.
