A Los Angeles judge yesterday refused to dismiss the contempt charges faced by Oscar winner Kim Basinger.
Superior Court Commissioner Maren E. Nelson refused to accept a motion filed by Basinger‘s lawyer Judy Bogen that there was insufficient evidence to prove the alleged 12 counts of contempt.
Baldwin accuses his ex-wife of blocking his visitation rights and failing to notify him when Ireland was injured and needed medical treatment in 2005. She has pleaded innocent to all charges.
If convicted, Basinger could spend up to two months in jail and receive a $12,000 fine.
