Oh joy, another Cinderella adaptation! Oh well, kids aren’t exactly aware of how many Cinderella adaptations exist, so to them it’s like a whole new thing. Oh, kids and their naivety. Stupid kids.
Anyway, Akeela and the Bee star Keke Palmer will star in Nickelodeon’s new Cinderella adaptation, Rags. Max Schneider is set to costar. Because these are two musically-gifted actors, instead of playing your basic princess and pauper, Schneider will be a gifted musician that writes his own songs that no one hears. Palmer will be a star with a record mogul father who only plays other people’s songs. Will they team up and write their own music that everyone love? Will there be a song about a glass slipper? Is slime green?
Set to direct is the guy who directed Honey, so that should tell you all you need to know.
