Kings X rocker suffers second heart attack

Kings X drummer Jerry Gaskill has been hospitalised after suffering his second heart attack in as many years. The rocker is reportedly resting comfortably after his latest health crisis.
Bandmate Dug Pinnick broke the news on his Facebook.com page on Friday (12Sep14), revealing Gaskill’s recovery has prompted the group to scrap its upcoming tour plans.
He writes, “We have to announce that during a scheduled minor procedure, Jerry Gaskill, has suffered a heart attack during the post operation recovery, and as a result must undergo double bypass surgery within the next 72 hours.
“Jerry is stable and resting comfortably in the hospital. Due to the circumstances though, King’s X has no other choice than to cancel all upcoming shows. We hope that after Jerry recovers that we will be able to schedule make up shows in the future. Until then, all info and updates will be posted on all King’s X Sites (sic), and we will keep you all updated on Jerry’s status.”
Gaskill has been dogged by poor fortune in the past two years – after suffering his first heart attack in 2012, his home was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy.
