This Labor Day, TNT and TBS are both vying for your time–like, all of it.
The sibling networks are running all-out marathons featuring two of their biggest hits: Tyler Perry’s House of Payne (TBS) and The Closer (TNT).
TBS’ HOP marathon, from 10 a.m. ET until 8 p.m. ET (an astonishing 20 episodes), will be especially appreciated by fans, because the sitcom tends to be erratic when it comes to new episodes.
TNT’s beloved The Closer, on the other hand, boasts a downright formidable marathon lineup: Between 9 a.m. ET and 8 p.m. ET, 12 episodes of the Kyra Sedgwick-led drama will air, climaxing with a new episode at 9 p.m. ET and the series premiere of Steven Bochco’s highly anticipated legal drama Raising the Bar at 10 p.m. ET.
In other words: If you’re a fan of either show and don’t plan on spending the entire day at home, you have a lot of TiVo space-clearing to do by Sept. 1.
