Little Women heading to small screen

Bosses at America’s ABC network are adapting beloved novel Little Women for the small screen, featuring British actress Natascha Mcelhone. The Truman Show star will not only act in the project but serve as an executive producer for the series.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, author Louisa May Alcott’s story will take on a modern storyline, following the lives of four sisters coming of age against a backdrop of military scandal and the loss of the family’s fortune.
While Little Women has been adapted many times for both film and TV over the years, the most recent came in 1994 in a film featuring Winona Ryder, Susan Sarandon, Kirsten Dunst and Christian Bale.
