Louisa Lytton rescued from mountain after skiing accident

British actress Louisa Lytton was rescued from a mountainside in Austria and rushed to hospital after she suffered a terrifying accident during ski training for a U.K. TV show.
The 26 year old, who has appeared in shows such as soap opera EastEnders and crime drama The Bill, was on the slopes working on her moves for celebrity reality series The Jump when she took a tumble on Wednesday afternoon (27Jan16).
Members of the local mountain rescue team were dispatched to bring Louisa to safety, and she was admitted to a hospital in Innsbruck after they managed to transport her down the hillside safely.
“She was in a bad way on the slopes and it didn’t help that she was stuck halfway down,” a source tells Britain’s The Sun newspaper. “There was no easy way to get to her and Mountain Rescue were needed to take her off to the hospital. She was clearly in a lot of pain and it was all very scary as no one knew how bad her condition really was.”
Louisa reportedly underwent a battery of tests, including X-rays and brain scans, but doctors concluded she had escaped the incident with just minor bruising.
Pictures posted online show the actress strapped to a stretcher while under the care of medics.
She previously suffered a torn thumb ligament during training for the TV contest, which also features Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman star Dean Cain, Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding, retired athlete Linford Christie, actress Tina Hobley, and Irish pop star Brian McFadden.
