Synopsis

Mid-level Manhattan mobster Tony Gordoni and his associates take over a popular record label, gaining control of a number of famous singers and musicians. To please his mother, Gordoni presses one of his acts, Jerry Hart, to persuade temperamental opera diva Charlizzini to make her first record. Jerry's attempts to woo the singer into a contract complicate his impending marriage to secretary Ann Rogers.
