Messengers | 2003
It's winter in a quiet fishing village when the town doctor suddenly dies. His patients panic. There is no one else who will understand their special needs. When his daughter, the cool and logical Dr. Sarah Chapel returns home, she embarks on a quest to find out why he has been medicating his patients when their only ailment seems to be perfect health. Delving deeper into the unusual atmosphere of Brighton Mills, Sarah discovers the townspeople are paranoid of sleep and haunted by voices asking a constant question they can never seem to remember. She stumbles upon a hidden interest in the paranormal and a bizarre occurrence ten years ago. As she pieces together a puzzling combination of red herrings and facts, she must leave rationality behind and learn to accept the unbelievable. Thus begins Sarah's real journey of discovery.
