Michael B. Jordan in talks to make directorial debut with Creed III

Michael B. Jordan is in talks to make his big-screen directorial debut on the third installment in the Creed movie series.

According to Deadline, officials at MGM Studios are working on the project, with the 33-year-old actor reportedly interested in directing it – in addition to reprising his role as Adonis Creed.

Creed III would be the ninth installment in the Rocky franchise overall, dating back to the original starring Sylvester Stallone, which was released in 1977.

The first Creed movie was released in 2015 with Ryan Coogler as director. Creed II was released in 2018 and helmed by Steve Caple, Jr., with Michael serving as an executive producer on the sequel.

The star is getting hands-on behind the scenes when it comes to his latest projects and, according to the publication, has also signed on to produce upcoming DC Comics movie Static Shock – about a teenager who transforms into a superhero who gains electromagnetic powers after being exposed to a strange gas.
