Synopsis

Through archival footage and interviews with former soldiers who were part of the U.S. Army's Military Intelligence Service (MIS) during World War II, a little known piece of American history is revealed. The MIS was comprised almost entirely of second generation Japanese Americans who pledged to serve America and fight their parents' homeland while their loved ones were being rounded up into internment camps by the U.S. government. During the war, the MIS was helpful in persuading Japanese troops to surrender and assisting civilians in the post-war recovery effort.
