‘National Treasure’ Helmer Turteltaub to Direct ‘Last Vegas’

6988021.jpg Director Jon Turteltaub is in talks with CBS Films to direct Last Vegas, THR has revealed. Written by Dan Fogelman (Crazy, Stupid, Love), the project is billed as a comedy concerning “a quartet of retired boomers who are called upon for a Vegas bachelor party by their friend, a ladies man who is finally settling down and marrying a woman half his age.” Which sounds suspiciously like Wild Hogs meets The Hangover. Can’t wait!

Turteltaub has heretofore focused mainly on broad, family-friendly action fare. His most recent films include The Sorcerer’s Apprentice and both National Treasure films.
