Scottish rockers Nazareth have cancelled their Canadian tour after frontman Dan Mccafferty collapsed on stage during a gig last week (ends14Jul13). The singer passed out just seconds into the band’s first number at the Cranbrook Curling Centre in British Columbia on 9 July (13), and McCafferty was dragged offstage to receive medical attention.
It was later revealed the 66 year old was suffering lung problems and struggling to get enough air, and now the group has axed all upcoming dates in Canada, according to Classic Rock Magazine.
Bosses at the Century Casino in Edmonton, where the Scottish band was due to perform three shows, state, “We are sad to announce that unfortunately Nazareth has had to cancel the remainder of their tour. These shows will not be rescheduled.”
