Netflix Grabs CBS Streaming Rights

NetflixGood news, Netflix subscribers. According to The Hollywood Reporter, CBS has signed a two-year, non-exclusive licensing agreement that will allow users to stream all sorts of titles from CBS, including Medium, Flashpoint, Frasier, Family Ties, Star Trek, Hawaii Five-O (the original), Twin Peaks, and The Twilight Zone.

“We are very pleased that the titles offered through this deal will now also be made available to a whole new community through the terrific and convenient service that Netflix offers,” said Steve Koondel, president of CBS Television Distribution. “We will continue to pursue additional non-exclusive distribution partners that are additive to our overall business.”

Netflix is now the only online stream service that offers shows on all four broadcast networks. But that could change, because as stated, this deal is non-exclusive.
