Christina Noble grows up in Ireland, one of six children born to a sickly mother and an alcoholic father. She endures a tragic childhood and adolescence, and then enters into an abusive marriage in the 1960s. During her marriage, she begins having dreams about victimized children in Vietnam and follows these visions decades later, going to Saigon with no definite plan, but a determination to help the children left orphaned and homeless by the war. In spite of opposition from local police and authorities threatening to deport her, Christina creates a charity to look after these children. Based on a true story.
