None Shall Escape | 1943
At a war crimes trial following the end of World War II, the life and misdeeds of Nazi Wilhelm Grimm are recounted. Following World War I, he returns to his native village, embittered by Germany's defeat. He alienates his fiancée, Marja, through his contemptible behavior toward the locals and rapes a schoolgirl. At the trial, Grimm's brother Karl remembers how Wilhelm came to Germany to join the Nazi party and then sent him to a concentration camp.
