Okay, count us officially excited for Spike Lee‘s remake of Oldboy, the Korean thriller directed by Park Chan-wook (Stoker) that freaked everyone out in 2003. Though the idea of giving the film an American do-over may have at first seemed heretical — would it dare go as far in terms of the violence, the sex, the gluttonous calamari eating? — the casting of Josh Brolin, Elizabeth Olsen, and Sharlto Copley was extremely promising. And if that wasn’t exciting enough, check out this first poster for the movie, released at CinemaCon. Yeah, that’s a shiver running down your spine.
Plan on seeing Oldboy when it’s released Oct. 11?
