Justin Timberlake has a lot going for him. It’s sort of been like that for the last ten years, actually, but in the past month life has been especially sweet for the musician/entertainer/heartthrob turned actor/comedian/heartthrob. There is talk of an Oscar nomination for his role in The Social Network (which is very good, by the way) and he can crash SNL at any time and have the funniest skit of the night. Now word comes in that Olivia Wilde will play his mother in one of his next projects. He lands the MILF to rule all MILFs. The bastard.
Wilde joins the cast of Andrew Niccol’s new thriller where no one lives past the age of 25 except for the rich who can pay for extra time. As previously reported, the cast features a bevvy of young talent, despite the fact that they’re all over the age of 25. But this is Hollywood, so who cares.
And also, never mind the fact that Wilde is three years younger than Timberlake and will be playing his mother. The dude is so smooth he can get someone younger than him to be his mother. Damn. That’s awesome. You know who also did that? Laurence Olivier when he did Hamlet in 1948. And Laurence won an Oscar for his role in the movie and became one of the greatest British actors of the 20th century. Could this also happen to Timberlake because a younger woman was cast as his mother? Knowing the bastard, yes. Sigh.
Even though the script is untitled (as I previously said as well, it’s original title was stupid), I’m sure Timberlake is pitching to turn the world the movie is set in to one where children breastfeed until they’re 24 or so. I mean, who can blame him? That magnificent bastard.
