Oscar winner Olympia Dukakis was greeted by cheering crowds as she received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday (24May13). The Moonstruck actress turned out to unveil the 2,498th star on the famous Los Angeles sidewalk and received a rapturous reception from fans who gathered to watch.
Actress Diane Ladd, who worked with Dukakis three times during her career, gave a speech in tribute to her friend, and the honouree admitted she was overwhelmed to have so many of her relatives turn out to see her receive her star.
She said, “To have my whole family here (is just amazing)… Thank you very much for coming!”
